The UEFA Under-19 European Championship has arrived in North Wales, and football fever is already sweeping across our communities.
It has been fantastic to see our area playing host to the tournament, welcoming players, supporters and visitors from across Europe while showcasing everything that North Wales has to offer.
Here in Penmaenmawr, the Serbia Under-19 national team spent time with the young players of Penmaenmawr Phoenix FC. The session gave local young people the opportunity to meet the squad and take part in games and activities alongside them, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Hosting fixtures and team visits as part of the tournament has brought international teams into contact with local communities across North Wales. Experiences like these show the unique power of football in bringing the community and our young people together.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the tournament such a success, and to Penmaenmawr Phoenix FC for giving their young players an experience they will never forget!
