Claire Hughes MP Celebrates Success of Llanrwst Show

Claire Hughes MP joined hundreds of visitors at this year’s Llanrwst Show, describing the annual event as “a real cracker.”

The show is one of the highlights of the summer calendar in the Conwy Valley, reflecting Llanrwst’s long history as the area’s principal market town. It drew crowds from across the region and beyond, with attendees able to meet local agricultural organisations, sample food and drink from local producers, and take in the day’s competitions and exhibits.

During her visit, Claire Hughes MP caught up with representatives from NFU Cymru and FUW, including a chat with NFU Cymru Deputy President Paul Williams, who farms near Llanrwst at Nebo. Paul recommended she take a look at the vintage tractor display, one of the day’s popular attractions.

Commenting after the show, Claire Hughes MP said:

This year’s Llanrwst Show was a real cracker. It was brilliant to see so many people there from across the Conwy Valley and beyond.

It was great to catch up with NFU Cymru and FUW, and of course, to sample some of the amazing food and drink on offer.

A massive thank you to all the competitors, exhibitors and volunteers who put in so much work to make the show happen.”
